Terms of sale

What is sold, at what price, how the subscription renews and how to leave it.

  1. 01Scope and parties

These terms of sale govern subscriptions to the paid plans of Ronéo. They sit alongside the terms of use, which govern access to the service. Where the two conflict on a point of sale, these prevail.

The service is sold to individuals acting outside any professional activity, who are therefore consumers under the French Consumer Code. The seller's details are provided on request at support@roneo.study, as stated in the legal notice.

  2. 02Plans and essential characteristics

A free plan gives access to a limited volume of imported courses, questions, fiches and cards. Paid plans lift those limits in the proportions set out on the pricing page, which describes the essential characteristics of each plan and is the reference.

Paid plans are offered over several periods, billed in advance for the period chosen. The period actually billed is the one shown at the moment of payment, not the commercial name of the plan.

The service is delivered online, with no physical medium and no shipment. Access opens immediately after payment.

  3. 03Price and VAT

Prices are shown in euros and are the final amounts due. VAT not applicable, Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code: the seller falls under the VAT franchise en base. No VAT is charged, none appears on invoices, and none is recoverable by the buyer.

Prices may change. A price change never applies to a period already paid for. For a running subscription it takes effect only at the next renewal, and you are told by email before that renewal.

  4. 04Order and payment

The order is placed from the account, in the billing settings. The summary shown before confirmation states the plan, the period billed and the total amount. Confirming payment constitutes acceptance of these terms and forms the contract.

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Card details are entered in an interface supplied by Stripe and never pass through our servers: we keep none of them. Receipts and invoices are issued by Stripe and remain available from the billing portal.

If a charge is declined or fails, access to paid features is suspended until it is settled. The account is not deleted: it reverts to the free plan.

  5. 05Renewal and cancellation

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, for an identical period and at the rate then in force, until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time, without giving a reason and at no cost, from the account settings, plan and billing tab, or from the Stripe portal reachable in the same place. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for: paid access continues until then, after which the account returns to the free plan.

Under Article L. 215-1 of the French Consumer Code, you are told by email, no later than one month before the cancellation deadline, that you may choose not to renew a fixed-term subscription with automatic renewal.

Your courses, questions and progress are not erased by a cancellation. They stay in the account, available within the limits of the free plan.

  6. 06Right of withdrawal

You normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a distance contract, without giving a reason and without penalty, under Article L. 221-18 of the French Consumer Code.

Because the service is digital content supplied immediately, at the moment of payment you expressly ask for performance to begin before that period ends, and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal once access is opened. This is the case provided for in Article L. 221-28 13° of the same code. The corresponding statement is shown before confirmation and is never pre-ticked.

If you do not wish to waive that right, do not open paid access: write to support@roneo.study and the subscription is cancelled before any use.

  7. 07Commercial refund

Separately from the right of withdrawal, and without creating any legal obligation, we refund a first payment on written request to support@roneo.study within fourteen days of that payment, provided use of the service has stayed marginal. The gesture applies once per account.

Access obtained free of charge, given as a gift, or arising from a referral credit gives no right to a refund, since nothing was paid for it.

A refund is made using the payment method used for the order and ends paid access.

  8. 08Referrals

A referral link gives the person referred a discount on their first payment and gives the referrer a credit, on the terms shown on the referral page. A credit is set against a future invoice: it is neither convertible into cash nor transferable.

Accounts created solely to obtain credits, or by one person under several identities, lead to the cancellation of the credits concerned. If a person referred is refunded, the matching credit is reclaimed.

  9. 09Legal guarantees

The service remains covered by the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services under Articles L. 224-25-12 and following of the French Consumer Code. A service that does not match what was described is brought into conformity at no cost within a reasonable time; failing that, the price is reduced or the contract is terminated.

That guarantee is owed by the seller and is claimed at support@roneo.study. It is independent of the commercial gesture described above, which neither replaces nor limits it.

  10. 10Complaints, mediation and governing law

Any complaint is made at support@roneo.study. We reply and look for an amicable solution before anything else.

If the answer does not satisfy you, you may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer mediator. The competent mediator has not yet been appointed: until it is, its contact details are given to you on request at that address, and this page is updated as soon as the appointment is made.

The contract is governed by French law. A buyer resident in another European Union member state keeps the protection of the mandatory rules of their country of habitual residence and the right to bring proceedings before its courts.
